April 19, 2007 - Brookhaven 2nd Fe Run

This week, a few members of the CRaTER team made their way back to Brookhaven for a third set of a runs. This time they tested the instrument's response to iron, using 650MeV/amu and 1.03GeV/amu ions.

Rick arrived a day early to make sure the hardware setup and operations were all in order. He also took the opportunity to do a few runs with the Cs137 source. On Thursday the 19th, Tony, Mike, Harlan and Justin arrived. After setting up the computers and verifying communications, runs began at 06:30pm. The team collected data for four hours before finally breaking down the experimental setup. On Friday the 20th, they packed everything up and headed back to BU.
